CHILDRENS’ FAITH FORMATION

ADULT FAITH FORMATION & SOCIAL

Leisure Group: Jeanette Todd, 301-845-6796, jeannettetodd@aol.comPrimarily a Senior fellowship group but anyone can attend. It meets monthly at church. They assist in parish ministries, have luncheon meetings, plan outings and picnics.

Visiting Pilgrim Statue Program:  Dom or Rita Macera, 301- 845-0328, macera16@comcast.net.  St. Timothy's had the privilege of acquiring a statue of Our Lady of Fatima that has been blessed by John Paul II.  A committee member would come into your home to set up the statue, give you prayer materials to use while the statue is in your home.

“CATHOLICS RETURNING HOME" is for those who have been away from active participation in the Church for awhile.  Annual five-week program. WHEN YOU FIND YOURSELF SINGLE AGAIN: Saturday, August 8, 10am - Noon, St.Timothy Catholic Church, 8651 Biggs Ford Road, Walkersville. A support group for individuals who are separated, divorced or widowed. Adults from all area parishes are welcome. Childcare will not be provided. Bereavement Ministry:  Support group meets every other Saturday morning at 10amin the Sacred Heart room at the parish center.  For those who have had a loss. Claudette Lucas, 301-663-3871, claudettelucas@comcast.net.

St. Tim's Card Players:  An opportunity for parishioners to play cards at St. Timothy's. Meet with your friends or make new friends! Daytime game at 10am - 1pm on Wednesday, September 9th, and an evening game at 7 - 10 pm on Thursday, September 17th.  Please check the bulletin or call the parish for later dates.

Players can choose the card games (canasta, pinocle, etc.) Bring your own group or join others! Sign-up sheets will be available for future date(s). For bridge players, sign-up sheets will also be available to ensure that we will have full tables in the future, which is necessary for playing bridge.   7. Secular Franciscans: Do you hear a calling to the Gospel through the life of Saint Francis of Assisi? This group, founded by St. Francis, has always been for men and women of all walks of life (married, single, etc.) who wanted to follow the Franciscan way while not becoming a monk or nun.  Local group has members from St. Timothy, meets at Our Lady of Mt. Good Samaritans –  Parish office.  Volunteers to take shut-ins to church, doctor;  to do snow removal, yard work, grocery shopping, phone calls to the homebound, pet sitting, errands, child care, companionship for sick spouses to relieve caregivers, meals for new mothers, the sick, etc.

Prison Ministry -- Would you like to help in some way at the Frederick County Detention Center Frederick County Frederick County ?  We need additional help with a Bible Study for men, one for women, tutors to teach math, and we are looking for help in starting a faith discussion group in Spanish.  Interested in helping?  Please contact Holly Roembke at holly@vitalsources.org.
